Our nonprofit partners at Special Olympics Indiana are continuing to host the annual Polar Plunge season which supports a huge portion of the programing for over 18,000 athletes with intellectual disabilities each year. As you can guess, with event limits and the ongoing climate, fundraising levels are not what we typically see. Please consider supporting Special Olympics Indiana during this important fundraising season in one of a few ways.
Have one designated representative attend a local Polar Plunge and have the Lodge share that fundraising link online to gather donations as a team
Issue a challenge to your local SWAT teams to do the Earn Your Wings virtual 5K or 10K run and donate online or by check to support them in their efforts on their own time
Please consider supporting the athletes between now and April in one of these ways. Special Olympics Indiana is currently hosting in person activities where possible but is also hosting a number of at home opportunities for the athletes, many of which are higher risk than the average population. Watch this video to see how one Special Olympics Indiana family is coping with the pandemic. This programming may be even more important than ever to the athletes! Please help the organization continue to host these opportunities for the athletes this year!
