Dear brothers and sisters,

            Attached you will find the final Legislative Report for the 2024 session. Much effort was put into protecting what we have and enhancing benefits where we could. Bill Owensby and Ed Merchant have toiled at the statehouse throughout the session to deliver for our members.

            I have excluded all dead bills from this report. What you will find are the bills of interest that made it across the finish line. I have also included a link to each bill if you want to do a deep dive.

            Please note HB1004 and my comments in the report. This bill offers a tremendous opportunity to those currently in the DROP and those planning for their future who may be consider entering the DROP.

            A complete legislative report will be presented to the members at the annual conference in June and there will be an informational session on HB1004 and the DROP.
